Fast drying screed is one of the leading choices in the industry, when it comes to flooring. As a liquid based screed it can be laid quickly and offers fast drying times. When it comes to fast drying screed, we cover the whole of Middlesbrough, the North East and many areas throughout the UK.
All of our fast drying screed is poured using professional equipment and by experienced tradespeople. Over the years, we have worked with many customers in the construction industry.
Fast Drying Liquid Screed
The fast drying screed we install at ACE is a cement based screed. It can be laid bonded, unbounded or as a floating screed. Fast drying screed has been designed to allow the release of trapped water in the matrix of the screed to maximise the hydration of the cement, thereby giving faster drying times, increased strength and lower porosity. Fast drying screed has been developed to allow the drying times of cement based screeds to be reduced to 5mm per day as opposed to our conventional screeds having a drying time of 1mm per day. The fast drying screed we use has been developed to compete against the leading specification driven fast drying, high strength screeds.Cement based liquid screed is able to be walked on 24 – 48 hours after placement.
Benefits Of Fast Drying Screed
We offer supply, pump & fitting service of fast drying screed as it offers the following benefits:
- Drying times of 5mm per day.
- Reduces waiting time to final finish trades.
- No need to sand the surface after.
- Stronger than traditional screed, no reinforcement or manual compaction is required.
- Faster placing of floor finishes.
- Comparable shrinkage with other flowing screeds therefore large areas of up to 250m2 can be laid without the need for jointing making the application of floor coverings much simpler.
- It can be pump-applied meaning less mess on site
- The strength can be increased to 25Nmm2 or 30Nmm2 by increasing the cement ratio within the screed
